About the Doctor
Dr. Lindsey Woods Erby is a 2012 graduate of Oklahoma State University Center for Veterinary Health Sciences. She was born and raised in Fort Smith, Arkansas and she recently moved back home from Salt Lake City, Utah with her husband James. They have a dog named Jake, a cat named Tux, and a leopard gecko named Stuie. Since graduation from veterinary school, Dr. Erby has completed two post-graduate specialty internships in avian, exotic pet, wildlife, and zoological medicine. Her first internship was at The Avian and Exotic Animal Clinic of Indianapolis under Dr. Angela Lennox, DVM, Dipl. ABVP, Dipl. ECZM. There, she learned both basic and advanced exotics internal medicine and surgery techniques. Her second internship was completed back at OSU CVHS in Avian, Exotics and Zoological Medicine under multiple mentors. Each of these mentors at OSU taught her to build on her already solid foundation of medical and surgical skills to graduate to a more advanced level of patient care. During each of these internships, she grew more confident and skilled, learning constantly, and making lasting relationships with her clients and their pets. For the next 3 years, Dr. Erby practiced exclusively on exotic pets at Wasatch Exotic Pet Care in Salt Lake City before moving back to Arkansas. There, she was the only Associate Veterinarian, which entailed practicing full time, overseeing two veterinary intern doctors, and managing all of the clinical duties, including medical and surgical cases on a day-to-day basis. Dr. Erby is looking forward to developing new relationships with the clients and staff here at the Wedington Animal Hospital. She is always looking to take on complicated medical challenges, develop her surgery techniques, and meet new clients and their interesting pets! Please feel free to call the office, bring your exotic pets, and come say hello to Dr. Erby!
